What happened to winter?????
I can't believe that it is really winter! Today I was outside without a jacket. The temp was like +12. It was raining and windy, but the rain and wind was very warm. Reminded me of when Derek and I went to Jamaica in October of 2005.
I hope this is not the calm before the storm. I keep telling myself that old man winter is playing hide and seek with us here and that when he decides to come out he is going to get us with a vengence. I am hoping that spring has really arrived early, and that old man winter has forgotten about us completely. My tulips and daffodils are out about three inches, so if we get any cold or snow, I am going to lose them all. I have been keeping a close eye on the weather station and as soon as I hear that we will get cold, I will have to cover them with plastic and put buckets over them. Even my apple trees are beginning to show signs of budding. NOT GOOD!!
Besides for that I am very busy at work. Usually am this time of year with Budgets, Audits, year end reports and beginning a new year. I also do between 50 to 75 income tax returns for clients each year, so, they should start coming in soon also.
We had a super great holiday and hope that everyone else did as well. I would like to say belated birthdays to everyone that had birthdays over the past few weeks. Meaghan, Cheryl, Alberta, Heather, Candice. And anyone else that I may have forgotten.
I continue to work on the family genealogy and have been doing a lot of research. I will be sending a copy of everything I have to Alberta and to Paul. If anyone else wants copies, please let me know. I have been able to get a few pictures of Ardencaple Castle (The MacAulay Castle) that was in Scotland. Only the South Tower remains, but I was able to get a few pictures of what the Castle looked like before it was demolished. I will be sending copies of those also when I send out the info.
I will post a couple of them also.
