Diet Soup for Brenda
SACRED HEART MEMORIAL HOSPTIAL 7 DAY DIET
SOUP:
1 or 2 cans of tomatoes ( stewed )
3 large green onions ( leeks) or one large cooking onion
1 large can of beef broth (no fat) or chicken broth, or 3 tbsp each of chicken and beef soup base
1 pkg lipton soup mix (chicken is best)
1 large bunch of celery
2 large cans of green beans or lots of fresh green beans
2 green peppers
2 lbs of carrots
Season with salt, pepper, curry parsley hot sauce or whatever kind of seasonings you prefer. Put soup bases, soup mix, tomatoes, and 4 cups of water into a large pot. Cut veggies into small to med pieces. Add to pot. Add enough water to cover the contents of the pot. Boil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to make sure that nothing is sticking to the bottom. Reduce heat to simmer and continue cooking until the veggies are tender.
This soup can be eaten any time you’re hungry during the week. Eat as much as you want whenever you want. This soup will not add calories. The more you eat, the more you will lose. (Eat it for breakfast if you want) Take it to work for lunch.
Drinks: Unsweetened juices. Tea, ( also herbal ) coffee, cranberry juice. Skim milk or water, water, water
DAY ONE: Any fruit except bananas. Cantaloupe and watermelon are lower in calories than most other fruits ( makes them a very good choice.) Eat only soup and fruit today.
DAY TWO: All vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with fresh, raw, cooked or canned veggies. Try to eat green leafy veggies. Stay away from dried beans, peas, or corn. Eat veggies along with the soup. At dinner time tonight, reward yourself with a big baked potato and butter. Do not eat and fruit today
DAY THREE: Eat all the soup, fruit and veggies that you want. Do not have a baked potato, If you have eaten as above for three days and not cheated, you should have lost 5-7 lbs
DAY FOUR: Bananas and skim milk. Eat at least 3 bananas and drink as much milk as you can today. Along with the soup, bananas are high in calories and carbohydrates as is milk – but on this particular day, your body will need potassium and carbs, proteins and calcium to lessen cravings for sweets.
DAY FIVE: Beef and tomatoes. You may have 10-20 oz of beef and a can of tomatoes or as many as 4 tomatoes today. Eat the soup at least once today
DAY SIX: Beef and Veggies. Eat to your heart’s content of the beef and veggies today. You can even have 2-3 steaks if you like with green leafy veggies. No baked potato. Be sure to eat the soup at least once today.
DAY SEVEN: Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and veggies. Again. Be sure to stuff yourself and also eat the soup. You can add cooked veggies to your rice if you wish
By the end of seventh day. If you have not cheated on this diet, you should have lost 10-17lbs. If you have lost more than 17lbs stay off the diet for 2 days before resuming the diet again.
This 7 day eating plan can be used as often as you like. If correctly followed, it will clean out your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being as never before. After only 7 days of this process, you will begin to feel lighter by at least 10 and possibly 17lbs. You will have an abundance of energy. Continue on this plan as long as you feel the difference.
This diet is fast, fat burning and the secret is that you will burn more calories that you take in. This diet does not lend itself to drinking any alcoholic beverages at any time. Because of the fat build-up in your system, you must be off the diet for at least 24 hours before any intake of alcohol.
Everyone’s digestive system is different, this diet will affect everyone differently. After day 3 you will have more energy that when your began – PROVIDING THAT YOU DO NOT CHEAT) After being on the diet for several days, you will find that your bowel movements have changed. Eat a cup of bran or fibre. Although you can have black coffee with this diet, you may find that you don’t need the caffeine after the third day.
