And a great Escape Weekend it was!!!
Time for another short update.
Where do I start.
Not much happening around here.
I got all my parcels mailed by the first week of December, so that was a great accomplishment.
Kelsey and I had a special escape weekend to Fredericton for Henry and Madisons birthday party. We left here at noon on Friday December 1st. It was raining in Halifax when we left. When we got to Truro it was freezing rain, and in Moncton it was snowing. By the time we got to Oromocto it was raining again. We went shopping on Saturday to buy birthday gifts for the special birthdays, had fun at the birthday party they had for Henry and Maddi. Got to visit with mom, Aunt Betty and Aunt MaryAnne. It was really nice to see them again. Kelsey bought a couple of books for Caitlynn and Joeye. On our way home, Sunday, it was very warm and sunny. It was a wonderful time for both Kelsey and I. I love to spend special time with my grand daughters.
I want to say Thank You to the Fredericton clan for helping me get back into the Christmas spirit. I was kind of thinking that I would only put up a tree and not do any other decorating this year, but, when I got to Henry's and saw how beautiful April had decorated her home, I wanted to go home and decorate mine also. So, before I left, I was given a gift bag with a christmas music cd, a bottle of fine, beautiful candle arrangement, tart burner and wonderful smelling tarts. It was the perfect gift to get me into the mood. And thank you mom for the beautiful Christmas Angel that you bought me.
I also had my special time with Cait this month. I went to her school with her to help the class decorate their little gingerbread houses. Each student had their own house. It was really fun and Cait and I had a great time. I also got to spend some time with Cait when I went shopping with her to buy new shoes, and accessories to go with her beautiful Christmas dress that she had from last year. We did buy a new silver sash to go with the dress.
Every so often I will pick Joeye up from the babysitters and take her shopping on a Friday afternoon. It is soon time to do that with her again.
This month has been very busy for me at work. There has been major plumbing problems and I had to coordinate the work to have that repaired. Had our yearly fire inspection, also had the furnace replaced. Working on next years budget and trying to get paperwork organized for yearly Audit that will happen in early February. Yep, this is a busy time of year at work for me.
On the bright side, I have all my Christmas shopping done. Gifts are all wrapped and hidden throughout the house. We will be decorating our Christmas tree this evening.
Derek and I will be hosting Christmas Dinner this year. I love having everyone over for Christmas Dinner. Our office is closed between Christmas and NewYears, so, I will have lots of time to relax after Christmas.
Andrea just got her report card and did absolutely wonderful. High 80's and 90's. Jennifer continues to work at the call centre and seems to like it. At least its a job and she has her own money.
If I remember correctly, Candice should be coming home soon, on the 17th I think. I bet Brenda and Garry will be glad to have her back. Welcome home Candice.
Well I must get back to work now.
I will try and update more often, but, I won't promise anything, cause this is a very busy time of year for me.
